Mote Marine Laboratory’s 26th annual Run for the Turtles was a success, Saturday, April 7, with more than 1,000 runners and walkers. Both the one-mile fun run/walk and 5K took place on Siesta Public Beach. The run, a joint effort between Mote, the Manasota Track Club and Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, helps to raise money to help support Mote Marine Laboratory’s Sea Turtle Conservation and Research Program study.
