+ Colorful rendering falls victim to codes
A black-and-white sign at 6400 Gulf of Mexico marks the location of the new sanctuary of Christ Church of Longboat Key, Presbyterian. During the groundbreaking ceremony March 14, general contractor Bill Dooley gave the crowd a two-word explanation as to why the sign did not feature a colorful rendering of the church.
“Town regulations,” he said with a smile.
