+ Bargain shopping sees lucrative return at sale
John Vorel, a volunteer at the annual St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Guild’s rummage sale knows the true meaning of bargain shopping.
Last year, Vorel and another shopper bargained for a long time on a print both wanted. Finally, the shopper bought the print for $20.
This year, the shopper looked up Vorel and told him the outcome of the story. He had researched the artist and print on the Internet. The conclusion: The print is valued at more than $2,000.
