+ 80 years and still soaring
Whitney Beach resident John Crimaldi recently got a surprise for his 80th birthday when his family and his best friend, R.J. Holland, and Holland’s wife paid him a surprise visit. Crimaldi and Holland have been friends for 60 years and served as jet fighter pilots with the 8th Fighter Bomber Wing during the Korean War. Crimaldi continued his career as a pilot and later retired as a captain for American Airlines. He is now happily retired and enjoys playing golf, tennis and rowing — frequently all in the same day.
