+ No mystery: Grand Bay resident’s first novel is a hit
During his 34-year career as a judge and attorney, Grand Bay resident James Hensal wrote mostly legalese. But while he was still working, he promised himself that he would write something enjoyable in retirement.
So, last year, he published “Heir of Suspicion,” a murder mystery set mostly in Chicago and Italy. Hensal says he drew on his experience and past cases in writing the novel, and he is currently two-thirds of the way finished with his second book.
And here’s a spoiler about “Heir of Suspicion”: It’s a good read, according to USA Book News. The thriller was named a finalist in the magazine’s National “Best Books 2009” Awards mystery/suspense category.
Hensal’s novel is available at Circle Books and HensalBooks.com.
