+ Island Chapel donates to Habitat for Humanity
On Jan. 30, several Longboat Island Chapel members took part in the groundbreaking for Hope Landing, a new Habitat for Humanity community, in Ellenton. It will be the first project built entirely with energy-efficient construction, and the chapel is sponsoring the first home in the 18-house community.
The chapel has been involved with Habitat for Humanity since 2004.
