There’s a rat at Longboat Key Town Hall.
But fortunately, unlike the four rats that terrorized Town Hall last month, this one won’t require pest control.
Town Clerk Trish Granger brought in a rat that plays Sugar Hill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight” — that classic 1979 rap song that begins with, “I said a hip, hop, the hippie, the hippie, to the hip hop hop … ”
The rodent has a sign that says, “The one that got away.”
