+ Early voting continues this week
The town of Longboat Key is holding early voting for a town-wide preliminary election for District 1 candidates Lynn Larson, Lee Pokoik and incumbent Mayor Lee Rothenberg through Friday, Jan. 22, at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road. Early voting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday.
The preliminary election for the candidates will be held 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Town Hall and Longboat Island Chapel, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive. Remember to bring your picture ID with signature.
As of Jan. 18, 245 votes had been cast in the preliminary election.
