- I managed the Colony Flower Shop for 16 years. It was the most fun. The beautiful parties, weddings, events for some of the most incredible/interesting people you could ever meet. Yes, I will miss being there. Who wouldn't in my profession. Working with flowers and plants at a beautiful resort right on the Gulf. With all that said, and with the help of Katie reminding to remember all the wonderful people and fun we had - missing it is getting easier. The vast experience I gained has given me the opportunity to start my own floral business. On behalf of all the employees who loved the Colony, thank you.
