+ Jack Elka calendar features keys
Photographer Jack Elka’s 2013 calendar is now available, and for the first time, it features photographs of Longboat, Lido and St. Armands keys in addition to its regular assortment of Anna Maria Island photographs.
The calendar is available at the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce, 5570 Gulf of Mexico Drive, and at various locations on Anna Maria Island.

+ Key restaurants receive awards
Two Longboat Key restaurants recently were honored with Florida Trend Magazine’s “Golden Spoon” Awards.
Maison Blanche, 2605 Gulf of Mexico Drive, and Pattigeorge’s, 4120 Gulf of Mexico Drive, received Golden Spoon awards.
Euphemia Haye, 5540 Gulf of Mexico Drive, is included in the “Golden Spoon Hall of Fame.”
The Golden Spoon Awards are listed in the magazine’s December issue, on newsstands now.
+ Marina’s adds hair services
Marina’s Face Body & Nail Care, 3172 Gulf of Mexico Drive, has added hair services to its offerings.

+ Northern Trust closes Key branch
Northern Trust closed its Longboat Key branch Friday, Dec. 7.
The office will consolidate its office and staff with the existing Sarasota branch at 1515 Ringling Blvd.
Longboat Key customers were notified of the closing in a letter dated Aug. 31.
