Victory is par for the course when you’re Longboat Key golfer Arlene McKitrick.
McKitrick won her 180th victory Dec. 12, at the Breakers Rees Jones course in Palm Beach in an American Senior Golf Association tournament.
She reports that the victory came after a major diabetes scare that left her questioning whether it was time to give up tournament golf. Thanks to a new doctor and a tubeless insulin pump, McKitrick wrote that she is “now starting on a new chapter of my life.”
