- Lynn Larson has the type of analytic background that would make her an effective member of the commission, and one with a different point of view. We certainly can use a female on the commission so that it is not another boys club. She has the experience and the background to become an asset to the community. Even though I didn't always agree with her, Joan Webster rounded out the commission with her perspectives. Let's allow Lynn Larson the same options.
- As a 15 year plus resident of LBK, I am happy to see a woman enter the race for commissioner. Although I don't believe that voting should be gender biased I, always felt that Joan Webster offered a different prospective to the commission. I would now like to see another bright woman join the LBK commission with the election of Lynn Larson.
- Lynn Larson is one smart woman, and perhaps it's time we bring a woman back to the Town Commission. The Planning & Zoning Board has two top notch females, both with leadership experience. Let's add a woman's touch to our senior legislative body - former LBK Mayor Joan Webster proved a woman's place was in the House AND the Senate. Time to do the same for our elected bodies as well as our appointive ones on Longboat Key.
