  • This project is too massive and doomed-the US is no longer Mr. Big Business with big bucks to spend and people have to face this fact. The hotels that are already in place and that WERE in place did not have the incentive to enlarge, since business is slowing. Maybe if we were located where the JOBS were: China or India, it would be a good idea. WAKE UP America!

  • My wife and I have owned various residential properties on Longboat for nearly 30 years. We support the investment to be made at the Longboat Key Club.
It is our belief that the hotel rooms, the convention facility and new residences attract very high quality guests to Longboat who may not have had a reason to visit before. These people make investments in our area and contribute to the infrastructure costs of keeping LBK beautiful as years go by. The new investment only helps those of us who have homes and condos here currently.
It's a "Must Do" for the quality of life on Longboat and St. Armand's Circle.

  • It is time to stop nitpicking the proposal and approve it. LbK is withering on the vine and we have private capital trying to come in and breath new life into our beautiful island. I am wondering whether our elected officials are getting it.

  • Stop spending even more of our taxpayer dollars on continued hearings and approve this proposal. We need to move this community forward. It sickens us to see so many businesses shuttered. Today our community feels like it is on life support. Let's approve this and make LBK vital again.
