Halloween may be four weeks away, but at Mote Aquarium, the spooky celebrations are starting early.
Children ages 4 to 12 can wear their Halloween costumes on weekends for the entire month of October for free admission to Mote. Admission for children ages 3 and under is always free. Free admission applies to one child for each paying adult. Tickets are $17 for adults; $16 for seniors 65 and older; and $12 for children ages 4 to 12. Admission is free for Mote members.
From 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, Mote will hold its “Night of Fish, Fun and Fright.” Participants can explore Mote’s haunted house, “Shipwreck on City Island,” dig up shark teeth in “Coffin Creek,” and savor deep-sea treats at the “Diner of the Dead.” The event will also feature Mote’s signature underwater pumpkin carving.
Admission is $3 for members and $4 for non-members.
The frightening festivities will wrap up with the “Oceanic Evening: The Devil & the Deep Blue Sea,” which begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Mote Aquarium. The event is Mote’s annual black-tie gala and fundraiser. Tickets are $250.
