The Florida Department of Transportation’s Gulf of Mexico Drive paving contractor, Ajax Paving Industries Inc., will be placing a coat of permanent striping, called thermal striping, on the Manatee County portion of the road Wednesday, June 17.
The contractor received permission from the town to perform the work during the evening hours Wednesday, June 17 and, if needed, Thursday, June 18.
Project public information officer Darren Alfonso said the noise from the two trucks doing the striping will not be excessive. No lane closures will be performed while the company completes the last phase of the paving project.
