+ Rusty Chinnis Contractors hires new project manager
Rusty Chinnis, owner of Rusty Chinnis Contractor Inc., recently hired Andy Smithers as project manager. Smithers is LEED certified and has 10 years of experience in construction in the Sarasota-Bradenton area and has worked on residential construction, golf-course projects and commercial construction. According to Chinnis, business has increased in past months, and Smithers will allow him to expand the firm.
“He brings a whole lot of experience, especially when it comes to scheduling and monitoring job progress,” Chinnis said.
Smithers said that he is enjoying the opportunity to focus on Longboat Key.
“We have a certain niche,” he said. “Longboat is kind of its own little marketplace.”
+ The Lazy Lobster now open for summer hours
The Lazy Lobster Longboat Key, 5350 Gulf of Mexico Drive, has switched to its summer schedule. The restaurant now opens at 4 p.m. daily.
