+ Rusty Chinnis Contractors hires new project manager

Smithers is LEED certified and has 10 years of experience in construction in the Sarasota-Bradenton area and has worked on residential construction, golf-course projects and commercial construction. According to Chinnis, business has increased in past months, and Smithers will allow him to expand the firm.
“He brings a whole lot of experience, especially when it comes to scheduling and monitoring job progress,” Chinnis said.
Smithers said that he is enjoying the opportunity to focus on Longboat Key.
“We have a certain niche,” he said. “Longboat is kind of its own little marketplace.”
