On Friday, Longboat Key Turtle Watch replaced its signs along the Broadway beach access that tell beachgoers about sharing the shore, in addition to the types of plants, animals and shells they’ll find along the beach.
Ross Toussaint, owner of Longboat Key Signs, made and installed the signs, which were replaced because they had become weathered. The new signs were funded by donations through T-shirt sales and the “Name a Nest” program, along with Harry’s Continental Kitchens wine tastings.
