Sunday, May 9, is Mother’s Day, but at the Sarasota Open, it’s also Kids’ Day.
The event will offer free admission to children and $5 admission for adults. The first 100 mothers through the gate will receive a gift.
On-court games will begin at 1 p.m. at the Longboat Key Club and Resort’s Tennis Gardens facility. Prizes will be available. The winner of a contest in which children 7 to 14 uploaded videos of their funniest serves to YouTube will be announced.
