+ Message in a bottle: Harry’s sells liquor
Harry’s Continental Kitchens owner Harry Christensen believes he might have the smallest liquor store in Florida.
Unbeknownst to many Key residents and visitors, Christensen sells package liquor in his restaurant at 525 St. Judes Drive — a fact he thinks will be of interest to those who believe that there’s nowhere to buy liquor on the island.
The package liquor “store” is located on a shelf to the immediate left of the restaurant entrance.

+ Wedding websites show love for Sandbar, BeachHouse
Two wedding websites recently showed some love to the Chiles Restaurant Group’s Sandbar, on Anna Maria, and BeachHouse Restaurant, on Bradenton Beach.
Both restaurants received the Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Awards 2013 award for ceremony and reception venues, placing the restaurants and their staffs in the top 5% of wedding professionals in the Wedding Wire community, based on surveys from more than 750,000 newlyweds.
This is the fifth year for the Sandbar and the fourth year for the BeachHouse receiving the recognition.
The restaurants were also selected as 2013 winners in The Knot Best of Weddings on theknot.com. This is the seventh time for the Sandbar and the fifth year for the BeachHouse to receive The Knot’s Best of Weddings award.
