The Longboat Island Chapel will host a six-part series, titled "Aging in Paradise." The first will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 in the chapel's Aging in Paradise Center, 2nd floor, 6200 Gulf of Mexico.
Cynthia Palmieri, a certified care manager, will lead "Learn how a geriatric case manager advocates in our community." A graduate of the University of South Florida, Palmieri has 30 years of experience, including work with Reba Rogers, CPA, of CPA Secure Aging in Bradenton. Palmieri's motive is protecting individuals' assets and teaching them how to identify and avoid financial scams.
