+ Kiwanis Club seeks 2009 Citizen of the Year nominees
The Kiwanis Club of Longboat Key is accepting nominations for its 2009 Citizen of the Year Award.
The Kiwanis Club annually recognizes a Longboat Key citizen who has made an outstanding contribution toward the betterment of the community and demonstrated unselfish leadership in his or her efforts. Last year’s recipient was the late Claudia Fuller.
The recipient of the award will be honored at a cocktail reception Monday, Feb. 22, at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts. Also honored at the event will be the Longboat Key Police Officer of the Year and the Longboat Key Fire-Rescue Officer of the Year.
