Spanish Main Yacht Club members gathered March 9, at the clubhouse, for the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration. The buffet table featured the traditional corned beef and cabbage and even a bowl of bright green potatoes. The well-known Irish duo Patsy and Majella played throughout the evening. Event chairwoman was Susan Binder.

The Longboat Key Garden Club's Home and Garden Tour Saturday, March 6, featured six distinctive homes, located throughout the Key, and also included a stop at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts, a Division of Ringling College of Art and Design. Sarah Tate served as tour chairwoman. Proceeds of the tour help fund the Garden Club’s educational scholarships, assist with beautification projects on the Key, help purchase environmental and gardening books for the Longboat Library, aid in funds for the pizza garden project at Just For Girls, in Bradenton, and more.
