It was back to the '50s as residents of Beach Harbor Club turned back the clock for a fun-filled party Feb. 28, at the clubhouse. Poodle skirts and saddle shoes were the dress code, and the clubhouse walls were covered with posters of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe and rock 'n' roll legends.

Northern Trust Bank Longboat Key hosted a private reception and viewing Feb. 24 of the annual members' juried exhibition at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts, a Division of Ringling College of Art and Design. More than 80 works of various media are on display. The show runs through March 19. The Arts Center is located at the north end of the Key at 6860 Longboat Drive S.

The Roaring '20s took center stage Feb. 24, when Seaplace residents turned out in elaborate costumes for a festive party. Even the dinner menu turned back time. After dinner, guests showed some fancy footwork while they danced to the music of Lynn's Spins. Event chairwoman was June Hessel.
