Tangerine Bay residents discuss summer plans

Residents of Tangerine Bay held their annual end-of-the season picnic April 8, at the Bay Isles Beach Club. Phyllis and Jack Black were in charge of the cookout, and the food was bountiful. Plans for the summer were discussed, with many planning trips to visit children and grandchildren. Others said they were looking forward to relaxing on Longboat.
LB Harbour honors outstanding residents

Awards for outstanding service are a tradition at the annual residents' party held at Longboat Harbour. Winners this year at the April 8 event were Joe Callahan and Jean and Bart Wassmansdorf. The presentation was made by Co-Chairwoman Maggie Edger, who praised the trio for their hard work and dedication. Edger also presented Barbara Shelton with a bouquet of flowers in appreciation of her work on community events. Joining Edger as co-chairwomen were Pat Marschke and Gladys Henry.
