What are you giving special thanks for this Thanksgiving?
Fannie and Dickie Polito
“Several things. Our son had a successful cancer operation and we give special thanks for that. And, we’re new residents of Longboat Key and we love it. We moved here from Boston in April.”
Anne Winter
“I am giving thanks that my family has all been healthy this year, and I’m looking forward to the birth of my fifth great-great grandchild in April.”
Jane Boehme
“Just giving thanks that we are in good health and so grateful we didn’t have any hurricanes this year. I’ve become a Mote volunteer this year, and I give thanks that I am able to help out.”
Barbara and Michael Gurchiek
“We’re giving thanks because it has been a very special year. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and had a very romantic week in Half Moon Bay, in California. W didn’t know until we got there, but it is the pumpkin capital of the world — pumpkins everywhere.”
Libby Biedermann
“It was great year with family weddings and graduations, which we attended. Our granddaughter’s honeymoon was a cruise to Alaska, and 16 family members, including us, accompanied them. We give thanks that were able to take part in all of these family events.”
Anita Ross
I am a very blessed person and am thankful for so many things. I was so grateful that President Obama changed the policy on returning slain servicemen. I think it means so much to the families.”
Linda Federicci
“Do I have a lot to be thankful for this year! This year four family members — my husband, my stepson and two grandchildren — all had serious cancer operations. I’m happy to report all are doing very well.”
