Chapter CE of the Philanthropic Educational Organization, P.E.O. honored three scholarship recipients during its luncheon at Marina Jack on July 27.
The sisterhood organization offers financial assistance to women interested in furthering their education through grants, loans and scholarships.
Stacy Boll, Vera Melnichuk and Francesca Tebano were recognized at the luncehon. Boll will attend St. Petersburg College. Melnichuk, a pre-med student, has completed her sophomore year at the University of South Florida and has received a scholarship for the past two years. Tebano recently graduated high school and will attend the University of Miami, where she will major in pre-med studies.

Mar Vista dollars to benefit local teen
Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub’s walls and ceiling are covered with dollar bills, signed and decorated by patrons. Every few years the restaurant removes the bills for a good cause.
