INDIA. Maggie Pahos, granddaughter of Sarasota residents Nikki and Jim Nilon, studied abroad in January in Kerala, India, with her college, Elon University. Pahos will be interning this summer at The Sarasota Observer starting in July
ISRAEL. Kathy and Scott Hase recently visited a Bedouin Camp in Arad, Israel, just south of the Dead Sea.
VIRGIN ISLANDS. Where's Longboat Key? Cyndi and Mike Seamon, Mary and Bob Carlisle, Patty and Chris Sileo, Alison Albee and Tim Thurman stopped for a photo op while sailing the British Virgin Islands.
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. Rabbi Jonathan Katz and his wife, Marty, middle, traveled with Sally and Sam Shapiro to the Dominican Republic, where Katz officiated at the wedding of the Shapiros’ granddaughter, Erin.
BELLAGIO, ITALY. Longboat Key resident Barb MacDonald and Kathleen Perry, of London, Ontario, took a break from sightseeing in Bellagio, Italy, to read a recent issue of The Observer. They met in Milan, Italy, to visit Perry's daughter and son-in-law and ferried north on Lake Como for a few days.
VENICE, ITALY. Lauren Ann Walsh recently traveled to Venice, Italy. It was Walsh's third trip to Italy, and she says she cannot wait to go back.
