- Hogwash. It's impossible to not have conversations with both the PRO and the CON forces regarding the KEY CLUB APPLICATION. Both sides it is hoped can reach a compromise which favors all involved, be it the Town of Longtboat Key, which desires a FIVE STAR HOTEL to be built first, IPOC which wants to retain their OPEN SPACE and wants a redone GOLF COURSE, and the PROPERTY OWNERS up and down the KEY that want to stop the EROSION of their PROPERTY VALUES. Without such compromise it will only be the lawyers, including our own TOWN ATTORNEY, that will benifit from the FEES generated by LITIGATION.
