A Longboat Key woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday, near Bay Isles Road.
Gladys Blair, 95, was trapped in her white 2004 Oldsmobile after she turned left in front of a 2002 Ford truck driven by Alfred Loppohn, 44, of Bradenton, who was driving north on Gulf of Mexico Drive and was unable to avoid the crash, according to a Longboat Key police report.
The impact caused Loppohn to crash into a town-owned 2010 Ford truck driven by Public Works employee Curtis Vandermolen, 32, who was waiting at a stop sign to make a right turn onto Gulf of Mexico Drive.
Longboat Key firefighter/paramedics freed Blair from her vehicle and transported her to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton. She was cited for failure to yield.
