Grossman retired from the planning department of Alexandria, Va.

Former commissioner Gene Jaleski has also qualified to run for Commissioner Phill Younger’s at-large seat.
Both Brown and Younger are seeking re-election.

The qualification deadline for candidates seeking commission seats is noon Monday, Nov. 19. Candidates must have all petitions certified and returned to the Town Clerk’s office no later than that date.
