Herman Munitz, 96, of Longboat Key, died Nov. 8.
Born Dec. 31, 1912, he was a former resident of New Jersey and Brooklyn, N.Y. He served in the Naval Armed Guard during World War II.
Mr. Munitz is survived by his wife of 46 years, Laura; daughter, Harriett Wolfer; son, Leonard Levin; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Friday, Nov. 13, at Sarasota National Cemetery.
