The Florida Department of Transportation will host a public information meeting to inform residents about upcoming construction projects in Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, Bradenton Beach and Longboat Key 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Saint Bernard Catholic Church, 248 S. Harbor Drive, Holmes Beach.
In July, Gulf of Mexico Drive was paved from the Manatee-Sarasota county line to the Longboat Pass Bridge. The $1.27 million project also consisted of improvements of the roadway shoulders, as well as signing and pavement markers.
The project was one of 10 Gulf of Mexico Drive improvement projects that are either underway or planned for the roadway through 2011.
The Sarasota County portion of Gulf of Mexico Drive is slated for resurfacing in May 2010.
