Sandy Proper: “I agree. And I really like the seafood. so many choices.”
“I’m from Boston, and I really look forward to the warm weather. I enjoy the variety of activities here, especially the adult education programs.”
“I enjoy the beautiful landscaping on the Key and the wonderful friends I have here. I walk the beach and the weather is always terrific.”
“I have been coming here for the season for many, many years. My daughter lives here, and we really like the beaches.”
“We’re from England and this is our 21st year here on the Key. We enjoy all the wonderful outdoor opportunities, the beach, swimming and biking especially, because the ground is flat.”
“I look forward to meeting again with my wonderful friends. The weather is great, and I can ride with my convertible top down.”

Commissioner Lynn Larson’s three grandchildren, Zander, 9, Zora, 8, and Zoe Ramsey, 5, got a close-up look at what Longboat Key police and firefighters do to keep residents safe earlier this month, during a tour of the police and north fire stations.
Mar Vista dollars to benefit local teen
Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub’s walls and ceiling are covered with dollar bills, signed and decorated by patrons. Every few years the restaurant removes the bills for a good cause.
