A Longboat Key resident was awarded $2.3 million stemming from an accident that occurred two-and-a-half year ago.
According to a news release, Richard Carrier, 53, was riding his bicycle in the 6700 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive when he was struck by Edward O’Connell, 82, of Rome, N.Y.
A jury found that Carrier sustained permanent injuries to his head, eye, neck, shoulder and lower back.
The Palmetto-based Kallins & Little represented Carrier.
