- Interesting reading this article. Today we were coming back from the Mar Vista area and a group of young fisherman casting nets came right towards us. Usually you have an idea which way they are going. This time it was like they were playing "chicken." Luckily we were sailors for 20 years before buying this 20' power boat and we totally yielded to them. I believe these must be the same group as Tom Mayer referred to in his article. we understand your frustrations if you were swimming!
- More and more we see special interests, fishermen, bikers, ATV riders & other groups feeling they are the only ones entitled to use public areas as they choose, to the detriment of all others. Look at the controversy about boats stored in front yards and driveways - unsightly in an upscale neighborhood but another special interest group believing their rights are being violated..
- Boom boxes? Really???? Have not seen one of those since the '80's.
