Moore’s Stone Crab Restaurant & Marina owner Alan Moore has asked for and received a commission candidate qualification packet this week, according to the town clerk’s office.
If Moore fills out the packet and obtain signatures, he would be eligible to run for the at-large commission seat in March 2011 against incumbent Phillip Younger.
Younger may also have to run against former commissioner and mayor Joan Webster, who hasn’t decided whether to run for her former District 4 seat or the at-large seat.
District 4 Commissioner Jim Brown also has picked up a packet and intends to run for a second term.
Citizens interested in running can request a commission candidate qualification packet by calling Granger at 316-1999.
