Rain and wind blew into Longboat Key this morning, creating minor storm debris on the southern portion of the island.
According to Longboat Key Public Works Director Juan Florensa, town staff worked earlier today to remove debris, such as tree branches, that accumulated on the ground mostly to south of the 4000 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive.
“The high winds were mostly on the Sarasota side,” he said.
Florensa said that the storm debris did not cause road blockages.
Rain gauge readings will be available tomorrow.
