Approximately 1 inch of rain had fallen on Longboat Key as of 1 p.m. today, with the north end receiving the most rain.
The rainfall resulted in flooding at the Broadway beach access and in the Village.
Public Works Director Juan Florensa said that no major problems were reported as a result of the flooding.
“Places like the Village and the Broadway beach access typically get a lot of water-ponding that typically subsides,” he said.
