Traditional Irish Stew
2 pounds lamb, cut in chunks
4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
½ head celery, cut in one-inch lengths
1 onion, peeled and cut in pieces
2 ounces chopped parsley
2 ounces leaf rosemary
2 cups chicken stock
2 cups beef stock
Sear lamb in pan. Put remaining ingredients in a large pot and add the seared lamb. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve with bread and a pint of Guinness.

A fitting tribute
A day after receiving an Ageless Creativity Award from the Ringling College/Longboat Key Center for the Arts in honor of their late father, Ed Brickman, daughter Carol Diamant and son Eli Brickman held a celebration of life service Saturday.
