Betty Sponaugle, 76, of Longboat Key, died June 13.
Born June 4, 1934, in Franklin, W.Va., she moved to Longboat Key in 1995 from Harrisburg, Pa. She was a member of Longboat Key Turtle Watch and Longboat Key Garden Club.
Ms. Sponaugle is survived by her brother, Carroll Lee, of Franklin, and sisters Ruth Bowers, of Sugar Grove, W.Va., and Loretta Homan, of Shepherdstown, W.Va.
