+ Ritz-Carlton unit sells for $4 million
Penthouse Unit 1702 at the Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota sold last week for $4 million.
Beth Afflebach and Joan Dickinson, of Michael Saunders & Co., were the listing agents. Judy Kepecz-Hays, of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, represented the buyer.
The unit features three bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms and three outdoor terraces.
+ Pettingell’s listing sells for $4 million
A Bird Key home at 619 Mourning Dove Drive sold in May for $4 million, the largest amount paid for a home on the island since July.
Roberta Tengerdy, of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, represented the buyer of the home. Roger Pettingell, of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate, represented the seller.
The 5,352-square-foot home has four bedrooms, a den, six-and-a-half bathrooms, multiple entertaining areas, a heated pool and spa, extended dock, boat lift and two Jet Ski lifts.
+ Marta Altizer joins MS&Co.
Marta Altizer recently joined the mid-Key Michael Saunders & Co. office.
Originally from Michigan, Altizer holds a master’s of fine arts and has done extensive work for European museums and archaeology projects and has taught at the college level and conducted study tours across Europe.
Altizer has lived on Longboat Key for 13 years and has used her design background for several projects on the Key. She is an officer in the Sleepy Lagoon Homeowners Association and a volunteer at Anna Maria Elementary School.
+ Loeffler listing sells for $4.75 million
A Bay Isles South home at 560 Harbor Point Road closed in May for $4.75 million.
Listed by Cheryl Loeffler, of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, the home was featured in January as the Wall Street Journal’s “House of the Day.”
Jon Fox, of Michael Saunders & Co., represented the buyers, Wallace and Shirley Devlin. The seller, Timothy Clarke, paid $2.75 million for the property in 2005 and built the new 5,041-square-foot home two years ago.
The sale is the third-highest amount paid for a Longboat Key home so far in 2013.
