The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, beginning at Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub.
Volunteers will sign up beginning at 8 a.m. and travel by boat to Sister Keys to pick up trash from the undeveloped mangrove islands. Participants who don’t have a boat or kayak can ride to Sister Keys aboard the Kathleen D, a sailing catamaran.
Bring sunscreen, insect repellant, hats, gloves, glasses and water shoes.
Participation is limited to 75. Volunteers will get complimentary lunch at Mar Vista after the event.
