Registration is now open for the fifth annual Sarasota Bay Watch Sister Keys cleanup.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, beginning at Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub.
Volunteers will sign up beginning at 8 a.m. and travel by boat to Sister Keys to pick up trash from the undeveloped mangrove islands. Participants who don’t have a boat or kayak can ride to Sister Keys aboard the Kathleen D, a sailing catamaran.
Bring sunscreen, insect repellant, hats, gloves, glasses and water shoes.
Participation is limited to 75. Volunteers will get complimentary lunch at Mar Vista after the event.

Mar Vista dollars to benefit local teen
Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub’s walls and ceiling are covered with dollar bills, signed and decorated by patrons. Every few years the restaurant removes the bills for a good cause.
