Dorothy Fischer Packard, 85, of Longboat Key and formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died April 9.
Born March 2, 1925, in Cincinnati, she enjoyed playing golf at the Longboat Key Club and Resort and bridge with friends.
Mrs. Packard was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and son, David. She is survived by her son, Richard; daughters Patricia Kosik and Sarah White; and nine grandchildren.
A Mass will take place at noon Saturday, April 17, at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, 4280 Gulf of Mexico Drive. Burial will take place at Calgary Cemetery in Dayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels, 421 N. Lime Ave., Sarasota, Fla. 34237.
