Roy McKinney, 76, of Longboat Key and Michigan, died March 16.
Born March 31, 1934, he received his medical doctorate from the University of Toronto and served an internship and residencies at the University of Alberta Hospital and Ford Hospital in Detroit. He practiced as an anesthesiologist for many years at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich. and Troy, Mich.
Dr. McKinney enjoyed travel, skiing, scuba diving, golf and boating with family and friends.
Dr. McKinney is survived by his wife, Rochelle; daughter, Lee; son, Michael; and five grandchildren.
A service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 25, at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, 4280 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
