Gulf Coast Community Foundation is accepting applications for a summer leadership-training program through 5 p.m. Friday, March 22.
The philanthropic organization will pick up to 25 emerging leaders for the Gulf Coast Leadership Institute based on their potential, desire and involvement in community or professional organizations. The students will participate in seven training sessions from April through June, through the J.W Fanning Institute for Leadership Development at the University of Georgia.
The program includes classes on conflict management, the value of community diversity, communication and group decisions. Training sessions take place every other Friday, starting April 19, until a June 21 graduation.
