Dr. Harvey Mendelow, 85, of Longboat Key, died Feb. 16.
Born Aug. 21, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he served as chief of pathology at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh and as a professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Mendelow was a Tangerine Bay Club resident. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Frances.
Dr. Mendelow was preceded in death by his wife, Frances. He is survived by his sons, Daniel, Lawrence and Matthew; and four grandchildren. No services are planned at this time.
