The Public Works Department announced this week its annual cross connection control program annual testing for 2010 will be conducted during the next few months.
Utility customers will only be contacted by the Public Works Department if their cross connection control (backflow) device fails this test. A failed test requires the property owner to have the device repaired by a plumber.
The required annual inspection service is provided free by the town.
Answers to questions on backflow inspection or repair are available by calling the Public Works Department at 316-1988 or accessing information on the Town’s Web site, www.longboatkey.org.
