Ed Chiles, owner of the Chiles Restaurant Group, which includes Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub on Longboat Key, Beachhouse Restaurant on Bradenton Beach and the Sandbar Restaurant, on Anna Maria, will be honored at 11:30 a.m. today at the Bradenton Municipal Auditorium with the “Spirit of Manatee” Award.

The Manatee Community Foundation gives out the award each year to recognize leaders and organizations that embody the philanthropic spirit of Manatee County. Chiles will receive the award for his support of the Anna Maria Island Community Center and Manatee Community Center, as well as Goodwill, Manatee County Head Start and Manatee County Healthy Families.
